Hi, I’m Michelle. I homeschool two boys here in Maryland. We have lived here for going on 12 years now, and I have home schooled for almost 8 years. I have been planning field trips for my Classical Conversations group, and others I have added along the way, for pretty much all 8 of those years. I love field trips 🙂 My boys are hyper and energetic, they don’t stay still very long, and they definitely learn better through hands on experience. So, we go on a lot of field trips…

There are always people asking for field trip ideas, and I do so love to share all the neat places that we have been, and fun things we have done… people sometimes refer others to ask me about all the trips we do…  but it gets exhausting to try and recount every single one of them every time I am asked that question 😉 So I figured a blog with all that information would be easier, and disperse more information…

I also have lots of people wanting to be on my field trip list, and I am sorry, but it’s closed for now. My group is as large as I want it to get. Mostly because it’s a lot of work to take 106 people to the aquarium… and also because many of the places we visit do have max person limits of around 50 or so, and I don’t want my trips filling up too quickly, with people always left out. So I am a HUGE advocate for getting OTHER people to become field trip people, and start their own groups. If you are such a person, I hope this blog helps you plan some fun field trips, let me know if you have any questions 🙂
